GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE FEBRUARY 2019
February’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Bass Pro in Tacoma. Our speaker will be Art Tachell giving a presentation on South Sound Blackmouth fishing.
Sam Kulla, Member #240, was drawn for the membership drawing at January’s meeting and was not present so the February drawing will be for $360. Thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine for his support. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win. Just a reminder: All memberships expire as of January 31, 2019. Please come to February’s meeting and see Membership Chair Pete Pitman to pay your 2019 dues.
The next family outing will be April 10 for our Annual crab feed. The dinner will be held at the Scottish Rite in Tacoma (817 South Vassault Street). This dinner will be in place of our monthly meeting and we will not have a guest speaker that evening. There will be a ladies raffle for those in attendance. Crab salads or barbecued ribs will be the choice of dinner options. Barbecue will be provided by Proper British Baking from Auburn, WA.
There are numerous opportunities for members to volunteer to help with promoting the club and at our events. All members who volunteer over the course of the year will have their names entered into a special drawing for a great prize at our Christmas party in December 2019.
Remember this is your club, and we need our members to help promote our club and to make it run smoothly.
