PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE September 2021

NOTE:   
 
We ask that all members and guests wear a face covering (mask) if you are planning to attend. We would like to avoid any conflict at the meeting, so if you choose to attend and not plan on wearing a mask, you will be asked to leave. 

Our next meeting is scheduled for Sept 8th at Tower Lanes in Tacoma. Just in case you forgot here is the address 6323 6th Ave Tacoma WA. 98406. (253) 564-8853. Meeting will start at 7:00 PM, come early and renew old friendships. Memberships, hats, and raffle tickets will all be for sale.

The guest speaker will be Wayne Harmond from NW Salmon Research recognizing the volunteers that have contributed to the salmon raising projects over the last few years.
  
At the August meeting, member #57 Mike Lindbo was drawn and was not present. The next membership drawing will be for $380 at our September meeting. Do not forget that at each monthly meeting, all present and paid members are eligible for the monthly membership drawing for a cash prize of not less than $150 sponsored by John Hager of Southworth Marine. We would like to thank John for continuing to support us during the Covid19 pandemic.
  
We would like to thank everyone that supported our 25th salmon derby and a special thank you to the sponsors that made our derby a success. A total of 69 fish were weighed in.

The 2021 board looks forward to working with you this year. At the September meeting we will be nominating members for the 2022 board. We need a President, Vice president, Secretary and Treasurer. We also need to replace the Membership Chairman and Raffle Chairman. If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact me. Remember without the board, the club cannot continue. Being a 501C we are required to have a board of directors. Please contact any one of us if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.
