Rockfish Tagging

These are Bottom Fish tagging trips for WDFW.  We furnish the man
power, WDFW furnishes the Biologists, the Charter Boat and all fishing
gear.  All you have to do is reel the fish to the surface holler “Fish
up” and they will take it off the hook for you.  There is no limit and
you don’t even need a license.  The target is Black Rockfish.  The
fish are measured, sexed, get a tag inserted and then are released.

Mortalities will be fileted and donated to the local food bank.

These trips are on THE HULA GIRL, float 10 and leave the dock at 6:30 am.
Sign in on the boat.
All you have to furnish is your rain gear and your lunch.  No alcohol
or personal GPS’s.  Must be 15 years of age and must be able to have fun.
Personal fishing poles are allowed but they have to be able to handle
a 6 oz. sinker and have mono line.

For those wishing to car pool to Westport from Olympia, we will be
leaving the Mud Bay Park & Ride at 5:00 am.  Let me know if you are
interested in carpooling.
