The next family outing will be December 6 for our Annual Christmas party which will replace our December meeting. The dinner will be held at the Scottish Rite in Tacoma (817 South Vassault Street). Social hour at 5:30 PM with Dinner served at 6:30 PM. There will be a ladies raffle for those in attendance. There will also be a surprise visit by Santa Claus for the children. If you are bringing children to the dinner, please bring a wrapped gift with their name on it for Santa to present to them. Please keep the gift value under $15 dollars. The Stadium High School Choir will provide Christmas music for our enjoyment. We will have a large general raffle, plus don’t forget to bring a lure for the Christmas Lure Tree. Ham, turkey and beverages will be provided by the club. The rest of the nightly feast will be potluck. Please RSVP by Nov. 24 by contacting Frank Baker at (623) 221-7317 or email: bakerfaz@msn.com or Mark Abetz at (253) 677-7293 or email at: relentless3@comcast.net.
Bill Macaras member #82 was drawn for the membership drawing and was present. The next drawing will be for $150 and will be at our January meeting. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win.
Our January meeting will have Director Kelly Susewind, David Stormer and Mark Baltzell from the Department of Fish & Wildlife as our guest speakers. If you have items you would like for them to address, please forward them to me at bakerfaz@msn.com or call me at (623) 221-7317. We will not have a business meeting that night to allow us to dedicate the entire meeting to the Director.
On Saturday, January 11, 2020 we will have our annual Dick Smythe Derby. The Derby will run from daylight to Noon when everyone will meet at the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor for the fish weigh-in and lunch.
I would like to thank our outgoing board members LeRoy Bell for his 2 year stint as secretary and Mark Abetz for his 2 year stint as Vice President. A special thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine for his support sponsoring our monthly membership drawing. I would also like to especially thank all members who volunteered to help out at our events; our club wouldn’t be what it is without your support.
As the year comes to an end, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and prosperous New Year.
Please feel free to contact me or any board member with any questions or comments.
President
Frank Baker
