Gig Harbor PSA Presidents message March 2017
February was a great meeting we had 80 members listening to Tom Nelson from the Outdoor Line Radio show on Dirty Downrigger Tricks. This month we have All Pro retired center for the Seattle Seahawks Robbie Tobeck speacking on marine insurance. Robbie is the owner of Griffin McClean insurance and a hardcore tuna angler and will be giving us details and tips on how to properly protect our boats. We may even get a few fishing and football stories out of him.
We are also lucky to have Lori Green from Outdoor Emporium come in talk all about Scotty Downriggers. Lori is the service technician and will cover all the care and maintenance requirements for Scotty downriggers. You don’t want to miss this one!
March will be our big fish awards, if you entered you will want to be there to see if you won $$$.
The monthly membership drawing sponsored by Southworth Marine was won by George McCloed who went home with $370.00. This months the drawing will be back to $150.
Art Tachell will be giving us all the latest report on the current North of Falcon salmon setting season process. Were all hoping for a better season than last year after the suffering all the anglers and fishing industry had. Trying to get out on the water especially in Marine Area 11 with the total shutdown all winter was horrible experience and something we don’t want repeated.

Once again the meeting starts at 7PM on 8 March but I encourage members to come early and shop at Bass Pro with your club discount or join us at 6PM in the Uncle Bucks restaurant for dinner and share fishing reports.
