GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE APRIL 2019
April’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 7:00 PM. This meeting will be our Annual crab feed dinner and will be in place of our monthly meeting and we will not have a guest speaker that evening. There will be a ladies raffle for those in attendance. Crab salads $20 (8oz tub of cleaned and cracked crab) or barbecued ribs $10 will be the choice of dinner options. Barbecue will be provided by Proper British Bacon from Auburn, WA. All dinners must be prepaid by April 1.
Mike Riedling, Member #242, was drawn for the membership drawing at March’s meeting and was present. There will be no April drawing due to the crab feed. May’s drawing will be for $150. Thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine for his support. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win. Just a reminder: All memberships expired January 31, 2019.
We are looking for donations of used or new fishing gear for our upcoming spring swap meet at Pt. Defiance Marina’s annual swap meet on May 4th. Any equipment that is taking up space in your basement or garage will be gladly accepted. Donations can be brought to the meeting for collection.
There are numerous opportunities for members to volunteer to help with promoting the club at our events. Currently we are in need of a membership chairman and a Derby weigh-in chairman. All members who volunteer over the course of the year will have their names entered into a special drawing for a great prize at our Christmas party in December 2019.
