GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE June 2021
We have decided to suspend the ZOOM meetings for June and July, since the State is planning to reopen the end of June. Hopefully, our next scheduled meeting will be August 11 at Tower Lanes in Tacoma and will be face to face.
The guest speaker for August will be Capt. John Keizer prepping us for our Salmon Derby scheduled on August 14th. We need to thank Capt. John for providing the video on downrigger techniques shown at our May meeting.
Member Fred Olness #100 was drawn and was not present. The next membership drawing will be for $370 at our August meeting. Do not forget that at each monthly meeting, all present and paid members are eligible for the monthly membership drawing for a cash prize of not less than $150 sponsored by John Hager of Southworth Marine. We would like to thank John for continuing to support us during the Covid19 lockdown.
The club is planning the 25-year Silver Anniversary Salmon Derby scheduled for August 14th. The weigh-in station will be located at Pt. Defiance boathouse. We will be looking for volunteers to man the fish weigh-in. If interested, please contact me. Look for details on the prize schedule in future emails.
