GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE MAY 2019
May’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Tower Lanes in Tacoma (6323 – 6th Avenue – Tacoma, WA 98406). We currently do not have a speaker scheduled for the meeting due to their unavailability. If anyone would to like to present a topic feel free to contact me. I would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time to make the annual crab feed a success. A special thanks to Proper British Bacon for supplying the wonderful barbequed ribs.
There was no membership drawing at April’s meeting because of our annual crab feed. May’s drawing will be for $150. Thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine for his support. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win.
We are looking for donations of used or new fishing gear for our upcoming spring swap meet at Pt. Defiance Marina’s May 4 annual swap meet. Any equipment that is taking up space in your basement or garage will be gladly accepted. Donations can be brought to the Pt. Defiance boat house the day of the swap meet or contact me to make arrangement for pickup.
There are numerous opportunities for members to volunteer to help with promoting the club at our events. All members who volunteer over the course of the year will have their names entered into a special drawing for a great prize at our Christmas party in December 2019.
