GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENTS MESSAGE JANUARY 2018 –CHRIS TREMBLAY
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds everyone well and that everyone had a good holiday season. As we start another year I want to thank John Keizer, Dave Johnson, and Jeff Zuniga for all their work on the board last year.
The new year brings with it the time for our members to renew their membership and pay their annual dues. Don’t forget that at each monthly meeting all present and paid members are eligible for the monthly membership drawing for a cash prize of not less than $210 sponsored by John Haggar of Southworth Marine and new sponsor Maggie Feagin-Schauble of Windermere Real Estate.
Our next meeting is January 10, 2018 at the Tacoma Bass Pro Shop and our speaker will be Greg Mueller giving a presentation on Westport salmon fishing. Greg gave a great talk last year, you don’t want to miss this!
Volunteers are needed for the Sportsman’s show and boat show. A sign-up sheet will be available at the meeting.
A cutthroat outing on Lake Washington is tentatively scheduled for January 20, 2018, weather permitting. We will meet and launch our boats at Gene Coulon Park and fish daylight to Noon. The group will then have lunch at Ivars. This is a fun, easy fishery.
