President’s Message December 2018

GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
DECEMBER 2018

The December meeting will be our annual Christmas Party on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Scottish Rite in Tacoma (817 South Vassault Street). At the Party we will have a Women’s Raffle, our general raffle, and Santa will be visiting so mark your calendars and bring the family! We will also have the prize drawing for all members who volunteered at our various events throughout the year.

That same weekend on Saturday, December 8, 2018 we will have our annual Dick Smythe Derby. The Derby will run from daylight to Noon where everyone will meet at the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor for lunch.

This is my last President’s Message and I want to take a minute to thank everyone who helped sponsor our club this past year. Thank you to Proper British Bacon for catering. Thank you to Pat Leahy and Leahy Law for sponsoring a derby prize. Thank you to John Hager of Southworth Marine and Maggie Feagin Schauble of Windermere Real Estate for sponsoring the membership drawing. I would also like to specially thank all members who volunteered to help out at our events, our club wouldn’t be what it is without your support.

New officers will take over starting in January 2019. We are still looking for volunteers for the Membership and Raffle Chair positions. Please contact incoming President Frank Baker if you are interested in volunteering for one of these Board positions.

Member #199 (and incoming President) Frank Baker was drawn for the November Membership Drawing and won $460! The drawing will restart in January. Again, thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine and Maggie Feagin Schauble of Windermere Real Estate for their support. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win.

Thank you everyone for reading my messages each month. I’ve enjoyed being the Gig Harbor Puget Sound Anglers President this year. Thank you again for all of your support.

Chris Tremblay
President
