Nutrient Enhancement 2019
It is that time of year again; we had our first successful fish toss on Sept 18. We distributed 9 totes of carcasses over various streams of the watershed. Our next opportunity will be Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Voight’s Creek Hatchery in Orting. If you would like to participate in the spawning process be at the hatchery at 8:00 AM on Sept. 24. If you would like to participate in the carcasses throwing, be at the hatchery on Sept. 25 at 10:30 AM. We will leave to take carcasses up river at 11:00 AM.
We go approximately 35 miles upriver to the little Puyallup watershed for distribution of the carcasses. You will be traveling on gravel logging roads. Volunteers and pickups are needed. You will need boots, rain gear bibs or waders, gloves will be provided.
