GIG HARBOR PUGET SOUND ANGLERS PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE November 2019
November meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Tower Lanes in Tacoma (6323 6th Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98406). Our guest speaker will be Tom Browning from Browning’s Sportfishing (www.browningssportfishing.com). I would like to thank Jacques White from “Long Live the Kings” for presenting an informative presentation on all of the salmon issues we face. The 2020 board members were elected for the upcoming year. Your 2020 board members are:

Randy Taylor will be replacing Pete Pitman as our new membership chairman. We owe Pete an enormous thank you for having held this job for so long. Your 2020 raffle chairman will be Jeff Zuniga.
Jim Charboneau member #151 was drawn for the membership drawing and was not present. The November drawing will be for $590. Thanks to John Hager of Southworth Marine for his support. The drawing is open to all current, paid members and members must be present to win.
The next family outing will be December 6 for our Annual Christmas party which will replace our December meeting. The dinner will be held at the Scottish Rite in Tacoma (817 South Vassault Street). Social hour at 5:30 PM with Dinner served at 6:30 PM. There will be a ladies raffle for those in attendance. There will also be a surprise visit by Santa Claus for the children. If you are bringing children to the dinner please bring a wrapped gift with their name on it for Santa to present to them. Please keep the gift value under $15 dollars. The Stadium High School Choir will provide Christmas music for our enjoyment. We will have a large general raffle , plus don’t forget to bring a lure for the Christmas Lure Tree. Ham, turkey and beverages will be provided by the club. The rest of the nightly feast will be potluck. There are numerous opportunities for members to volunteer to help with promoting the club at our events. All members who volunteer over the course of the year will have their names entered into a special drawing for a Scotty Downrigger at our Christmas party in December 2019. Remember to have all BIG FISH entries to me by November 24th.
